Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Optico-physical department is one of the oldest scientific teams of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Department's main activity is space research of the Earth and other Solar System's bodies in the visible and near-IR bands. The methods and facilities for precision s/c navigation, first of all by stars occupy the important place among our developments.
At present 12 star trackers BOKZ, BOKZ-U and BOKZ-M produced at our department are operating in near Earth orbits onboard 5 various Russian SC and the International Space Station.
